Hundreds of university professors from all over the country had a meeting with Ayatollah Khameneh i, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on Sunday evening, Shahriver 14th, 1389.
At the beginning of this three-hour meeting, 14 professors, express their views about different scientific, cultural, social, economic and political issues for more than two hours.
In this meeting Dr. Ghassem Amoabediny, head of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, and faculty member of Biotechnology of the Technical college, University of Tehran, gave a speech.
In his speech, he refers to paying attention to the country\'s scientific plan as a plan for transferring Iran to a scientific reference and he says: during past years, Along with the Islamic revolution in all areas, particularly in the field of science and technology, we have observed the development in strategic technologies. And in recent years, by creating the necessary infrastructures such as incubator center, parks and science and technology towns, and development of the new interdisciplinary fields and research, product based centers and also recently by approbation of the patronage funds for economic knowledge based activities of the country, we are in the way of a large evolution in the field of science and technology and the acquisition of superior rank and regional and global authority which are mentioned above.
Then Dr. Ghassem Amoabediny talked about strengthening the knowledge based companies in order to get away from the petroleum economic, creating the wisdom based universities as a new generation of innovative and vanguard scientific centers and the necessity of new structures and integrated management in the field of science and technology. He added: from the movement which is formed in the University of Tehran   the followings can be mentioned: creating the futures studies of science and technology center, think tank center for innovative and techno-creations and thinking centers. Entrepreneurship center for education and promoting the entrepreneurship and guiding the innovative people to establish knowledge based firms, incubator center for the establishment and development of the knowledge based firms, intellectual property and commercialization services center for Preservation and protection of technological achievements and facilitate the commercialization, technology transfer center such as techno-market and selling the knowledge based products, and Mining and Industry Clinic in order to be benefited from professors\' potential in the field of Performance, industry and community, for instance medics, performing product based research centers associated with Executive agencies, and finally establishment of the modern science and technology faculty which has started its activities with the policy to create and develop interdisciplinary fields, especially in contact with industry and executive agencies.  
At the end of the lecture he proposed to create National Observatory of Science Technology in the country which is along with the futures studies to help to perform implementing a comprehensive scientific plan and to achieve 20-year horizon of the country\'s prospects
